- Amidst the onset of H1N1 influenza A (swine flu) cases in the state, the Northern Illinois Public Health Consortium along with the Illinois Association of Public Health Administrators co-sponsored the 68th annual meeting of the Illinois Public Health Association. The 2009 conference theme was “Public Health in Peril: The Call to Action.” Public health professionals across the state gathered to identify opportunities and establish goals to improve the public health system in Illinois.
